We are saddened to report that country and western singer/songwriter and Hollywood actor Jerry Reed has passed away. He was 71.

Having recently been selected to our film, The Kentucky Fried Horror Show to work and piece together several compositions; it is with great sorrow that I, along with our creative team won't share in the delight in working with such a true legend.

We are all saddened by this sudden news and our hearts and prayers go out to the Reed family during this tragic time. He will be greatly missed by all.

Spring update

March 20th, 2008

Spring has finally sprung. Buds are starting to sprout, flowers are beginning to bloom and the birds have returned to sing in the trees once more. So what does all of this have to do with Kentucky? Not a damn thing. Although it does mean that soon those chirps will be replaced with the sounds of agonizing screams, bone cutting chainsaws, and the sounds of flesh being ripped apart.

We want to let everyone know that you can now order your very own Kentucky Horror T-shirts on our online store. So order yours now for summer!!!

I'd also like to add that we are proud to announce a new addition to the Kentucky family - Harvery Lowery and Greg Cannom of Drac Studios. If you are not familer with their work, here is a sample credit list of these two OSCAR winning special effects team.

The Passion of the Christ Pirates of the Caribbean Bram Stoker's Dracula Mrs. Doubtfire

And many many more. We're very pleased to have two of the leading special effects artists on this film and we look forward to showing you - our fans - just how far we've come since our initial announcement of this project early last year. We'll be posting concept artwork soon.

As for production news, we're still dealing with our investors and it's taken longer than anticipated, but we're confident that within a few short months we'll be shooting on schedule to bring you guys the best horror can offer. We will also be premiered in the upcoming UK horror magazine - GOREZONE next month so stay tuned to that announcement.

We want to also give a shout out to our fans in the UK and let them know that we'll be premiering Kentucky in the London area sometime this fall of 2008. I'm looking forward to it.

So that's about it from the Kentucky world as I have to go back and torment some more sad souls. but keep an eye out for my next update in a few weeks on more news as well as artwork and the continuing contest.

And watch for news on my first horror novel later this year which I'll discuss more in the coming months right here on our website. Until then -

So we're now into February and we are finally nearing the end of the tunnel where we will be starting prep work as well as planning the actual shoot locations in the next few months ahead. Things have really been a buzz for us as of late as we focus our attention on the goal at hand. I believe we'll be shooting on schedule as planned this April thru the month of May.

In other news, we have been working with GOREZONE Magazine on the latest events that have shaped this film as the recent article is scheduled to appear in the March addition - look for it over at www.gorezone.co.uk or order online.

I also want to give a shout out to some of the online sites that have really been very supportive of our efforts these last couple of months, as without their support we could have never reached the audiences we are now reaching with our project.

www.gorezone.co.uk www.horror-movies.ca www.fangoria.com www.horroryearbook.com www.bloody-disgusting.com www.gorehound.com

And we have been finally re-tooling the online Kentucky store where fans will be able to buy all kinds of goodies, from T-shirts to stickers to official movie posters. So stay tuned as the online store should be up and running shortly with easy payment options including paypal. So check back from time to time.

And finally, much has been talked about the plight of this project and its growing appeal and why it has tapped into the hearts of so many horror fans. I wish I knew why this small little film has grown into something so vast and large and to this day is still growing, but in this business there is no one formula, one proven key for success.

But if anything it has taught me what makes a film successful, it's the people behind it -YOU the fans that make a film a success. This is the reason why I believe so many have joined our ranks, and believe me when I say it is growing.

Just this past month alone our web traffic has generated over 30,000 hits and we are now nearing nearly 40,000 and we're still growing. This means that people are truly getting what we are trying to do, and that is to make the best motherfucking horror film possible.

So stay with us as we bring you more news and more information from the wonderful world of The Kentucky Horror Show.

We're glad to have you aboard and we look forward to showing you more artwork and promos in the coming weeks ahead.

With every passing day we are getting fans from all over the country and the world - especially in the UK that have really suported our film. It's simply amazing to see such support from thsoe that get what we are trying to do and it makes our lives that much more appreciative in making a great film for those that love good horror.

I have been told by the Executive Producers that T-shirts and other merchandise relating to the motion picture will soon be available for purchase at our online store. Stay tuned in the coming weeks when we will have more news on this as it becomes available.

We have some exciting news about cast additions as well as several merchandise tie-ins in the coming weeks such as the upcoming comic books as well as the T.V. series we are now developing for 2009.
